ME???

Probably one of the most nerve wrecking blog posts I've done.  Why you ask, well this family is beyond talented and for some crazy but humbling reason they chose me to photograph their wedding. I feel confident to say that every member of the family has outdone themselves in their chosen fields.... We have two architects, a photographer, a cake maker, a basket maker and two clothing designers.... no pressure right????  and if you knew just how much talent they had you too would be shaking in your shoes wondering WHY ME????  Thank you Lana (the other insanely talented, beautiful photographer sister) for taking a chance on me and allowing me to be part of what was a spectacular and gorgeous event.

Rysha and Tyler your life together will be filled with love, joy, laughter and fishing.  I truly wish you all the best on your magical journey xx

Oh and a post is not complete without a mention of some pretty amazing vendors who I wish I could fly over to NZ to create the same magic.

Jennifer Stocks - you are one of Australia's most talented photographerd but your an even greater person.  Thank you for having my back and making sure I remembered to breathe!!  I adore you xx

Bree Meldrum (the other beautiful talented sister of the bride and of course bridesmaid)  Your cakes were without a doubt some of the best that I have seen (and tasted...ahem).  I would literally get married again just to have a The cake that ate Paris cake

Way to long to be so absent.  I have so much to say... so much to show.... A quick shot of a blog post to come.  Byron Bay, Australia... your way cool!!!

Is it complicated?

Love its a work in progress and will be for a million more years to come.  But when it does go right, its magical no questions asked.  It can be breath taking, it can be difficult.  Its a complicated feeling that often overwhelms.  The butterflies, the sweaty palms, the racing heart and saying all the wrong things, nothing makes sense.  Nothing is more pure or more frightening.   But nothing is more magical than the feeling of love.

So this is how I see it.

How could I be more grateful.  Spending time in what can only be considered as utopia.  An isolated piece of pure New Zealand paradise.  I am lucky and I do forget that at times, however quickly reminded when I get to look back on the images of a beautiful day. Steph and Jeremy, I know that memories will continue to be created, and I truly thank you and your beautiful families for sharing a piece of that with me.

2010

What a year. I am only now trying to think back at the 'year it twas' wondering where it went, how it went and more importantly was I present? I have been blessed like no other to have an array of beautiful couples, families, brand new babies, adventures....The torrent that was 2010 has continued on to 2011 and I am holding my arms wide open saying 'bring it ON' May your year be filled with love, joy and beautiful memories. My last beautiful couple for 2010. Thank you Mayleen and Ricky for such a magical day. Reception held at one of the most spectacular places in New Zealand. Boomrock in Wellington.
