Hello hello anybody there....??

Thats my brain I am talking too.  Mothers really are the backbone of society... How do we do it, sleepless nights, pee on the floor (that was Tonni not the kids...teheee teehhhee) kissing snotty faces, vomit, POO, a whole tube of benifit foundation all over my white bed sheets, and still having to sustain a smile whilst doing it all.  I think everyone should call their mothers or a mother if you don't want to call your own, and thank them for all they did when we were small!!!  It is a thankless (is that even a word) job however I wouldn't change a thing....except the part about the foundation!!!!   

Day 14

I have a love hate relationship with this photo a day thing.....I will write more tomorrow....right now its midnight and I need to SLEEEEEEEEP.  Anyway my sweet darlings again.  Ava seems to be the star of this week...next week it will be ELLA xxxxx

I wasn't going to.....

Post tonight....dreary day and feeling a little flabergasted  (thats a great word if only  I could spell it)  I adore my girls and luuurveee spending time with them....but the skin on my feet are in desperate need of creams and polish.....my belly is rotund and my boobs are not mine...They're Quinn's as they should be....however i need some time...be it only ten minutes.  Tonni announced this morning....and I quote "I'm trying to think of a way to take you to Fiji"   my reply  "hey just the fact that you mentioned me and Fiji in one sentence gets me through the day!!!!" So a picture of me taken by the wonderful Rachael www.arkimages.co.nz.  I won a cover of a book aptly named LOVE and needed a profile picture.....I'm not so good in front of the camera....so needed to pull all of my Top Model TV time (many an hour) experience and "make it work"....or is that project runway???

What are friends for

Only a wonderful, gracious true friend would let you practice on them!!!!   I think I love the possibility of taking pictures of expecting mums and then their new bundles of joy.  Nothing can compare to watching someone with their newborn and the love that they have for these innocent creatures ( I write this as Quinn my newborn is SCREAMING.....) Anyhow I have the most amazing beautiful friend who features at the start of this blog.  Her and her wonderful husband are expecting their first child in three weeks, however my prediction says they will pop on Sunday (I've got 5 bucks on it) soooooo being as lucky as I am she has allowed me to snap a couple of her and her belly, affectionately known as peanut.....by the way I didn't leave Quinn crying I'm now doing the one fingered type with her in my arms....I'm a sucker for screaming babies!!

One quick shot....there were a thousand and one toys scattered around the room and sponge bob blaring in the background...you know how some nice photographers do the pull back shot so you can see their set up....Well my pull back would horrify you it was like a pack of baby rhinos had stampeded through my lounge mmmmm maybe they did????

Oh what a night

I fell off the wagon yesterday and didn't post a picture......ahhhhhhhrrhhggggg plus I ate a good amount of chocolate....double ahhhhhhhgggggg now I don't have time to post much as my darling husband is giving me the look!!!!! a couple of my little angel AVA

Its only day 9

Here I am doing the one finger type whilst feeding Quinn, so I do apoligise for any errors.  I am hanging on by a thread with this photo a day nonsense.... Now this isn't a challange that someone dared me to do..... this is purely my own decision (spured on by some wonderful flickr members) If I had a free reign (being that I didn't have a newborn) I would have the kids in the car searching for a location that would wow me inspire me....but instead I am having to find that inspiration with household utensils well actually I haven't had to move into the cutlery drawer however that could be a good one for tomorrow hmmmmmm Anyway this shot taken at iso 1600 (for those not in the know thats high) with no light what so ever so much NO light that my subjects were a dashing colour of orange...hence the conversion into black and white.  Even though this shot is totally and utterly technically WRONG its also so right as its my people, my special wonderful good people :)

Day 8

I know I know lotsa lotsa pictures of the girls.... but seriously if I'm not hanging out a load of washing, eating, cleaning, eating some more, I am on the couch feeding child number 3...that would be you Quinn!!  So in the midnight hours when I should be calmly in my bed getting some much needed shut EYE I am sitting editing a shot or shots.... I think if I didn't have this night time stint I would possibly drive myself insane.  I truly believe we all need an out wether it be a hand of poker, yoga or singing in the rain.  Make sure you have something that makes you feel so super good, and if you don't - look deep inside and try to find it.   Never be afraid and persevere with whatever your passion may be!!   I love to listen to music and it often inspires me.  I about 3 seconds away from purchasing this artists album http://www.amyseeley.com/ I found her whilst checking out another photographer who just happens to be amazing!!!

She's a dream

My first born and the sweetest thing that could be..... I think she is going to be the one that tests me the most!!!  Butter would not melt in this ones mouth....she is me many moons ago....
