The day of I do's

Well apologies must be given, I have been missing in action and totally ignoring my duties as a blogger.  Having taken a little mini vacation at the bestest place in the world, my good friend Karla's house (yahhh to her) plus getting totally and utterly immersed in the season we call Christmas.  My energy levels have been a little sluggish!!  However back with avengence!!!  And what better way to say HELLLOOO than to share some beautiful people who promised each other forever this weekend.  How lucky am I to be part of such a magical day.  S and M (aka J) can I just say thank you for kicking off the wedding season with a fabulous day.  Your spirits are infectious and I feel very blessed to have shared your day. So your sneak peak... there are a LOT more which you will have in your hot little hands very soon. xxx

Sideways glances

2 blog posts in 24 hours.... SHOCKING!!!!  however this is just a quick one because I can't resist this shot......  My girls (obviously) spend countless hours in front of my camera sometimes obliging sometimes not so obliging.  However I do get the occasionally glance that makes my heart melt.  No one else know the glances like I do.  Nothing special to others but oh so special to me!! Marshmallows and white chocolate.

Well I have to say I was all fluffy after reading everyones comments... my expectations were exceeded and I am now one very happy camper who is going to keep giving away blocks of chocolate to bribe people to read my blog.... how very lame...... however check back now and then cause its dark chocolate next time!!!!  Now without further adieu, the winner of the Whittakers White Macadamia... isssssssss  Sheryl!!!!!!!  Sheryl (bless her heart) is a mother of eleven, that in itself is a feat worth a years supply of chocolate.  All you mothers out there, you have to agree to be able to juggle photography, eleven beautiful children and comment on my blog is a pretty impressive feat, so hats off to you Sheryl!!! And as always a post is always better with a photo.  Bribery is not only exclusive to blog readers... a few marshmallows goes down a treat whilst posing for mummies camera!!!!

Let me hear you say 'yeah yeah'

She begins the conversation with "I know who you are I read your blog".  I smile, "cool" I say, "I love that there is someone out there who reads my nonsense, my rambles"  We politely move on to another topic.  My mind wonders back to the keypad, and I wonder? ... who does read my blog?   I have my regular commenters... you all know who you are... well I guess everyone knows who you are cause you can read it at the bottom of each post.  But I still wonder.  Its really quite funny, I write my jibberish at my makeshift desk in my makeshift office slash playroom, and I have to admit, I'm curious (actually I'm nosey but curious sounds better)?????  Who reads my blog.... so the challenge is on... I want to know, so I'm putting a block of very classy chocolate on the line.  Yes sir ree you comment on this post and I will send one lucky blog reader a block of chocolate, Whitikars white chocolate with macadamia, heaven in a foil packet to be exact.  Comments are at the bottom of the photos for this post, click on it and away you go.   All 3 of you need to start typing!!!!  Winner will be announced in the next post!!! Beauty within

As I sit here looking at my dolphin clad mouse pad, (the lame one I purchased from the 'big red shed') I not only see flipper smiling back at me, I see beauty that is so deep it can't be described.  Is it their eyes?   Is it the shiny skin?  Perhaps that quirky squeak?  What is it about them that screams beauty?   Is it because we know they are calm, serene, passive animals.  Perhaps a combination of everything.  What makes beauty?  I think everyone/everything possesses it.   I just think sometimes we don't know how to find it.  Search for it, its there, all around us in many forms. Today I saw a lot of beauty.  A mother, her children (minus one) and a whole lot of love.  Thank you for today, as my beautiful child would say, your a super star!!!  There are more to come!!!

Waiting anxiously at my mail box... did I do the right thing?  Is this the right company for my brand?  Have I chosen well?  The mailman arrived at my door, carrying a large brown box.  Delicately I sliced the edges of the tape to reveal the contents.  I gasp, I swoon, the smell, the feel, the look, my senses are bewitched.  Exceeding expectations, the epitome of happiness.  This beautiful brown box reveals some of the worlds finest.   About 2 weeks ago I signed up for one of the worlds superior album companies, QUEENSBERRY.  This exquisite company is born and bred right here in New Zealand however their products and services are delivered worldwide with a reputation for the most gorgeous bespoke albums.

Seriously do I have the best job or what?  A conversation came up in our household not so long ago about child #4..... I hear gasps... "she said WHAT."  No fear, we are not going #4, in saying that I could do 10.   I LOVE babies and will NEVER turn a client down when it comes to snapping a newborn.  Little Miss A was another dreamy baby.  perfectly well mannered and oh so very cute.  She is going to have some serious fun with her big brother, whom may I add had eyelashes to DIE for!!!!  Heartbreakers in the making.   Amelia and Mark, thank you for having such beautiful children, you make my job easy!!!!  Enjoy your sneak peak, more to come really really soooon

Patience is a virtue

As the title reads.  We as humans expect, we expect to meet our soul mates, we expect good health, we expect that everything will go so perfect in life and we could never ask for more.  We also understand that sometimes our expectations cannot be met and compromise is our only option.  This week I feel very lucky and blessed to have 3 beautiful, delightful children, children that I just expected to get and got, I am one of the lucky ones.   This little angel could not be loved any more.  Her Mum and Dad were patient and they are now blessed with the cutest little bundle there could be.  Thank you for allowing me to take photos of your dream, and helping me realize just how lucky I really am!!!!  Enjoy your wee girl xxxx

Lucky Lucky me

Yessss me me me me me.  6 months ago an email arrived at my door (computer door) asking if I would be interested in attending a workshop based on the gorgeous Gold Coast of Australia.   The organizer of this ooober awesome 3 day venture was the incredible Ainslie from Wildspirit Photography.  Of course I decided right there and then that yes, HELLO, of course I'm going.  Now keep in mind I had NO IDEA who would be there, what it would be like, where will I stay... who's gonna feed Quinn??????  Little did I know that she had begged borrowed and convinced 3 of the most AMAZING photographers/people to make the journey to join us in the sunny land of Australia.  I am so so grateful to Ainslie for organizing such an awesome 3 days of good food, photography, nutella, more photography, conversation, nutella and brilliant company.  Thank you my pretty.  My deposit is waiting and ready for next year!!! PLUS a HUGE thank you thank you thank you to the super talented Nicole Van, Zach Arias and Joey the hip hop master Lawrence for sharing their brilliance and dedication to a silly blonde from NZ, I hope our paths cross again.... "oh no its that annoying Fiona girl... quick hide"
