Wedding

THANK YOU

This post has a very special place in my heart for many many reasons.  The warmth, love and willingness shown by these amazing people, makes my heart smile with joy. I cannot thank you enough Becca and Mark, for allowing me to share this with some very special people.

7 days ago I asked this amazing bride if she would be comfortable sharing her day with 30 wonderful and inspiring photographers at the A BIT MORE SOUL workshop.  I was a speaker and wanted to show the attendee's the importance of  connection with their couples.  Rebecca had not seen any of her photos... all was to be revealed via a live feed in front of 30 AMAZING people.  We shared, laughed and cried with this perfect person.  Rebecca I cannot thank you enough for not only your willingness to share such an intimate day with complete strangers, but also to be so open and honest and REAL !!!

I adore you and your BEAUTIFUL family and will always, always have a special place in my heart for you  xxxxx

Old habits die hard

Normally I post at night.... in the wee small hours, when the house is silent and still.  Today however I shall be breaking that tradition.  I am trying to move my clock into semi normal hours. No small feat when I have spent the good part of 5 years... actually times that by 3..... stalking and burning the midnight oil. There is something comforting about night time, I look forward to putting my headphones in and engrossing myself in processing.  Sometimes I leave my 'night time antics' till the morning to re-asses the work that was done, often or not its deleted because it just looks plain silly.  There really is a fine line of what I love and what others may hate.  I think I have grown as a photographer however I know I have a LOT more growing to do.

This is what I am up to the elbows in right now.  This is me tripping around the country spending the day with fun souls!

Woop wooop wop

Remember those times as a child you would run down a hill, no care in the world if you fell, just the feeling as though you were invincible and carefree.  No fears of falling, or nose diving into the earth, all you could hear was the pounding of your feet and the feeling that your legs had taken over your torso and you were powerless to stop them.  It was blissful. Sometimes I think as so called 'grown ups' we need to run down those hills, making sure that our legs have all our permission to run as fast and as uncontrollable as they can.

This wedding made me feel alive, the continuos laughter and carefree nature.  Thats how life should be, holding on to every moment and making the most out of every second
