So this was day two. I like to tell my couples the importance of laughter and being relaxed........probably sound like a very broken record, however for me this is what makes the images work. On the day its about the love you feel for your family, friends and the one who will stand before you to say I do. Pretty things are fabulous but if the seating chart isn't perfect, it's ok...... no-one will notice.
Ana and Rob laughed, laughed and then laughed some more, they cried, they hugged, relaxed and soaked up every ounce of what their day(s) meant to them, family, friends, love and laughter..... a winning combination everytime

XO part one
This isn't even the whole amount of it. This is just part one! Emails like the one I received from Rob only happen every now and then. INSTANTLY I have to reply, my heart races, hoping like gods earth that they will end up high fiving me and saying "Fiona.....welcome aboard we want you to be part of our day!!!" THANKFULLY they said yes and I became part of epicness... not even a word!!!
Probably some of the coolest, funniest, WELCOMING people I met who made me feel like I was part of the celebration.

Heart
As I sit here and edit, my heart is full. I am grateful to spend time with people who entrust me to walk into their lives as a complete stranger and be witness to their most intimate moments. My camera is always present and often, I am sure, they are unaware of my tears, my admiration, my awe of what unfolds.
We are all so different but at the end of our days we are all so the same. No wedding is void of love, heart, excitement, laughter. They are a gathering of love and enchantment. Sometimes I am so engrossed in the wonderment that I miss shots.... but sometimes you need take the camera off your eye to see those moments.
Talent
Pretty wicked to be asked by some seriously talented people to cover a day that was pure gold. Now step back a few months and have one of NZ's bestest (there's that made up word again) wedding photographers, the beautiful and talented Danelle Bohane (Fourie) tell me that one of her dear wonderful friends was planning her big leap and sadly she wasn't able to cover the day!!! A few weeks later I get an email from the other talented person in this equation..... trust me there were many this day.... 8 weeks later I am part of what can only be described as jaw dropping beauty.

Miss
in Maternity
Babies, Babies, Babies, Babies... good friends, lots of them having BABIES... I have a pang of 'I want one' but then I realize that I can love on all my beautiful friends babies. THIS is a very dear friend and someone I don't see nearly enough!! It was cold, (however she didn't complain) 20 mins Miss was not enough time... however I am looking forward to the next couple of weeks when the 3 (bump included) of us can sit for longer, love on her and record her first few days of her beautiful life xxx
Best of luck my sweet, I am sure she will arrive in due time xx
A great way to start the season

If your ever wondering if September or October are good months for celebrating a wedding.... well I high five and say YES.... The weather can be unpredictable however the light when its a good day is MAGIC. Kicking off 2012/2013 wedding season, with beautiful light, beautiful surrounds and BEAUUUUTIFUL people.
