Choosing a wedding photographer can be a daunting task and something that requires lots of thought and love.

Below is a list of frequently asked questions:

WHERE ARE YOU BASED

I am based in a wee village south of Christchurch, if your day is afar no matter where I am happy to travel and do so for 99% of my weddings.

WHAT COLLECTION DO WE CHOOSE

This comes down to personal preference, it really depends on what you would like to have recorded.  My most popular collection is the 8-10 hours.  This is a great amount of time to capture all the laughs, tears and hugs.

WE HATE GETTING OUR PHOTO TAKEN

SO DO I..... I have intense dislike for my picture being taken EVER, therefore I have so much empathy for how daunting it is to have a camera in your face.  I will make jokes, some of them may not be funny, however I think what makes me stand out is my ability to make people (even the most uncomfortable) feel good and meh you won't even notice the camera snapping.

HOW DO WE SECURE YOU

I do require a $500 booking fee to secure your date as well as a contractual agreement between the 3 of us, nothing in the contract is confusing however I am happy to discuss it in depth if need be.

DO YOU HAVE A SECOND SHOOTER

No I don't normally have someone shooting with me as I find sometimes I don’t connect as well, however if my couples would prefer to have someone else alongsid then I can happily organise to have someone, there will be however an additional cost for this service.

HOW MUCH TIME DO WE ALLOCATE FOR PHOTOS

This is a super good question.  I have had couples that only wanted 20 minutes and others who wanted 2 hours.  Although I am super fun to be around (WINK) I think you prefer to be hanging with the ones you love and 1 hour for a bridal shoot should be plenty.  I do emphasise to my couples that light is a major factor in getting the beautiful portraits.  I often will ask that we allocate some time in the evening when the 'golden hour' strikes and we can sneak out for a few special moments.  Its also nice for you as newly weds to take a breather and bask in the glory that is your day.

DO WE HAVE TO FEED YOU

No, its not a requirement however it is a long day and if I am there for longer than 8 hours I am VERY grateful if a plate of food is available.  I am definitely not demanding by any means but I am a human so its nice to have some food and re-engerize myself for the dancing and party!!
