Wedding photos are the closest you will ever come to experiencing your most special day again.

I have a BFA and worked for many years in the wedding scene as a make up artist (I’m also a professional bridesmaid). So it was pretty simple as to why I felt so strongly that we had to have Fiona as our wedding photographer.

Her work is outstanding in very way and I knew she was a true professional.

Al, now husband, was immediately impressed when I showed him Fionas website. The energy in the images found you smiling at a strangers captured memory as though it was your own.

From our first conversation with Fiona I felt like understanding our vision was her top priority, and she really got it!

We got married in in unlikely venue without a bridal party and had our reception at our holiday home, the Lawrence Bowling Club.

The morning of I felt busy and flustered, happy but scattered. Like a long lost best friend Fiona had an instant calming effect on me the moment she arrived. Being anxious about being photographed I thought I might feel like I was being followed around or just act unnaturally, especially with Al! (PDA isn’t always my jam). Instead it was more like Al and I were the on an adventure with our sidekick. I felt like Fiona had my back and I wouldn’t look like a dick with her on the job. She didn’t just take photos she bought an amazing energy. She was able to read the room and aside from the camera could have easily be confused as one of the guests. She fitted in and made everyone at ease. I’ve never seen a photographer so popular with a crowd.

Getting our photos back was better than any trip down memory lane. It was like a back to the future experience. The energy and love captured is unreal. The colour and detail phenomenal. The movement and composition perfect. It’s like looking at the fancy magazine version of ourselves and I’ve got to admit, I’m in love!!

Fiona, what a dream you really are. I feel like we hit the jackpot having you as our photographer. You are such a kind, loving and warm person who feels like a treasured friend. You made Dom and I feel completely at ease and so comfortable to be ourselves, your images really speak for themselves and we are beyond thrilled with the photos, you are so talented.

You were absolutely amazing with our families and our kids (OMG those photos, beyond words!) and everyone just raved about you. Thank you so so much from the bottom of our hearts, you truly captured our day and all of those special loved filled moments. You are such a gem and would wholeheartedly recommend you xxx

Fiona is incredibly professional and an exceptional talent.  We were thrilled she was willing and able to travel to document our wedding on 20 January this year in the Coromandel.  

I had spied Fi's photography from afar, in publications such as Hello May, her website, and instagram feed.  I did some enquiries within wedding realms and, to my delight, Fi was also highly recommended by others in the industry (stylists, event planners, other leading photographers).  

Photography is a large investment.  But so it should be.  After your own first hand accounts, photography is the legacy of how you will remember your day.  The photographs add perspective and depth to a day that is so amazingly fleeting.  And the moments captured by Fi are priceless.  They highlight the true essence of the day's progression and of each and every person there.  We were overwhelmed by how truly special they are; they exceeded all hopes.  We will treasure them forever.

We believe that what sets Fi apart is her magical ability to genuinely connect with people.  Fi will put you at ease in front of the camera.  As a private couple, this had been something we were very worried about.  But we shouldn't have been. For even though we had just met that day, Fi's warmth and sincerity touched us all.  The great majority of our wedding guests commented on 'the lovely/wonderful/awesome/nice photographer'.  That is no exaggeration. Fi is subtle, calm, fun, thoughtful, considerate, patient, kind, and we wholeheartedly believe the best person to photograph your wedding day. We feel so privileged and happy to have had Fi there.  She is remarkable (and hands down, our most outstanding wedding vendor).
